California Children's Services


Description

California Children's Services (CCS) is a program within Sacramento County's Division of Public Health that provides diagnostic and treatment services, medical case management, and physical and occupational therapy services to children and young adults under 21 years of age with CCS-eligible medical conditions.


To Qualify

​Your child may qualify if he/she meets all four CCS eligibility criteria:

  1. Age eligible: Your child is under 21 years old.
  2. Medically eligible: Your child has a physical disability or medical condition that is covered by CCS.
  3. Residentially eligible: Your child lives with a parent or guardian who lives within Sacramento County.
  4. Financially eligible: Your child has Medi-Cal, Optional Targeted Low Income Children's Program (OTLICP), your family’s adjusted gross income is less than $40,000/year, or out-of-pocket medical expenses are expected to be more than 20 percent of your family's adjusted gross income.


How to Refer a Child to CCS

Anyone can refer a child to CCS, including parents. Families should:

​Some families may pay:

•  An annual assessment fee of $20 AND
•  An enrollment fee based on family income and size
